Club ACO - Meet the volunteers: Dany Berger, shuttle bus driver

ACO Member Dany Berger is a volunteer shuttle driver at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. His role takes him to the most farflung corners of the circuit, and he gets to meet a few stars on the way!

Dany Berger was born in Sarthe and has been volunteering at the 24 Hours of Le Mans for 13 years. He drives VIPs to the best vantage points to watch the track action. It’s a family affair. “My son-in-law got me into it! And my younger brother has joined us!”

Dany comes back year after year to be with people who share his love of his local race. “It’s so rewarding to see people smile. And some of them have shown me a few hidden-away places around the track.”

The enthusiastic driver is part of a team. He coordinates the operation and trains the newbies. So what has been your highlight so far? “One day I went to pick up the former FIA president, Jean Todt, and I’ve also driven Angelina Jolie.”
