Benoît Tréluyer, the challenger - Three-time winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2011-2012-204), the French native and his two teammates André Lotterer and Marcel Fässler made it all the way to the end of the race and won the World Endurance Championship drivers title thanks to exceptional consistency: they finished every one of the 2015 rounds on the podium, with two wins early in the season at Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps.
Nelson Panciatici, Paul-Loup Chatin and Tom Dillmann, victory for Alpine - After two consecutive titles in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) in 2013 and 2014, Signatech Alpine ended its season with a bang in the form of an LM P2 victory at Shanghai and pole position in the class at Bahrain. Alpine has showed unwaivering loyalty to its drivers Nelson Panciatici and Paul-Loup Chatin, joined at the end of the season by Tom Dillmann, who succeeded Vincent Capillaire.
Tristan Gommendy, Ludovic Badey, Pierre Thiriet, Emmanuel Collard, François Perrodo and Frédéric Makowiecki, winners across the board - The trio Gommendy-Badey-Thiriet won the 2015 opening ELMS round at Silverstone at the wheel of Thiriet by TDS Racing's Oreca 05. In the World Championship, François Perrodo and Emmanuel Collard were in it until the end for the LM GTE Am class title with their Ferrari 458 Italia, while Frédéric Makowiecki finished his season with a win in LM GTE Pro along with Patrick Pilet in one of Porsche Team Manthey's factory 911 RSRs.
Sébastien Bourdais...looking to 2016? - Gone to the U.S. after Peugeot's adventure at the 24 Hours, the Le Mans native achieved a fantastic 2015 season, with namely two victories in the IndyCar championship. After the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2014, this year he added to his record the 12 Hours of Sebring, another great overseas endurance race. Since there is no conflict between the 2016 IndyCar calendar and the dates of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will we once again see Sébastien Bourdais on his home turf at Le Mans in June?
