The Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) founded in 1906, designs and organises world-leading car races.
In addition to its sporting activities, ACO is also a club with more than 38,000 car and motorbike enthusiast members, protecting road users on a daily basis and providing them with preferential welcoming conditions at the races run on the Le Mans circuit and while organising events in the entire western France (le Grand Ouest) area.

A HISTORY OF INNOVATION
Know morePierre Fillon was born in Le Mans on July 25th, 1958 and attended his first 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 1966 with his grandfather, a great car aficionado. Since then, Pierre Fillon has never missed a single edition of the classic Le Mans event. As president of the ACO, a position he has held since May 31st, 2021, Pierre Fillon participated in the creation of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). He also contributed to the drafting and convergence of Hypercar regulations with IMSA, the new endurance mother category which allows people to compete on both sides of the Atlantic.
